Appointments

Booking an Appointment

The Practice currently operates an telephone triage system. This means when you call in the morning you will be triaged by a GP or Nurse Practitioner who will then appoint you if they feel this is warranted. Reception staff are unable to make face to face appointments with the GP for you.

If you are unable to keep your appointment please contact the Surgery as soon as possible to cancel it.

Home Visits

Should you require seeing a Doctor but are unable to come to the Surgery arrangements can be made for you to be seen at home. If possible house calls should be requested before 10.00am to allow the Doctors to plan their day.
Home visits are available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability. The receptionist will ask for a brief description of the problem as this allows the GP to assess the urgency of the call.

Out of Hours

Should you require a doctor in an emergency when the surgery is closed, dial the surgery number and you will be given the telephone number for NHS 24. The service is for urgent or emergency problems that cannot wait until the surgery opens the following day.
You will be triaged by a nurse, who will assess the urgency of your call. If you need to see a doctor, you will be asked if it is possible for you to attend one of the treatment centres and an appointment will be arranged. If you are unable to attend a treatment centre a Doctor will visit you at home.

The NHS 24 telephone number is 111
