The Practice supports a zero tolerance policy regarding any patient being violent or threateningly abusive (verbally of physically) to staff or other people in the surgery. Such behaviour will result in the Police being called and charges brought. The patient involved will also be removed immediately from the practice list.
It is the policy of this practice, and NHS Scotland, to support members of staff who wish to seek legal redress against patients, or other individuals who abuse, threaten or are aggressive towards staff or patients.
